Mendakota Pediatrics has grown rapidly over the past five years. With our rapid growth the number of visits scheduled at our office each day has increased, and it has become more difficult to have our physicians away from the office. Thus, starting in August 2022, we have made the difficult decision to no longer round on newborn babies at United Hospital and M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital. The hospitals have physician teams that will examine your baby within 24 hours of their birth and each day thereafter until they are discharged. Your infant’s first visit at Mendakota Pediatrics will typically be scheduled 2-3 days after discharge from the facility where they were delivered. This first clinic visit is very important to determine how your baby is adapting to life outside the womb and also to know how you as parents are doing.  Call our clinic at Parents should call our clinic at 651-552-7999 to set up that first visit for your newborn.
