Mendakota Pediatrics is a small, private outpatient pediatric clinic dedicated to providing compassionate, family-centered care for children of all ages. Job Summary
We are seeking a Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team. This role provides both clinical and administrative support in a busy outpatient pediatric practice. The ideal candidate is caring, organized, and enjoys working with children and families in a fast-paced but supportive setting.
Responsibilities
● Greet and prepare patients for exams (vitals, height, weight, and medical history)
● Assist physicians during exams and procedures
● Administer vaccines and medications as directed
● Collect specimens and perform basic lab tests
● Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR
● Conduct telephone triage and communicate test results and follow-up instructions to families under the direction of the physicians
● Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and equipment
● Support front-office functions, including scheduling and insurance verification
● Contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinic atmosphere
Qualifications
● High school diploma or equivalent (required)
● Associate’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
● Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred)
● Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
● Previous pediatric experience preferred, but not required
● Phlebotomy skills a plus
● Excellent communication and organizational skills
● Compassionate, team-oriented, and family-focused

Schedule
● Full-time, Monday–Friday, late hours on Mondays & Tuesdays (10:30am – 7:00pm)
● No weekends or major holidays
