Care for children from birth to age 22, including routine well and sick child care, and care for children with disabilities. As pediatricians, we are uniquely qualified to care for infants who have been born prematurely and who may have multiple medical needs.
Care for common adolescent issues including: acne, sports physicals, sports related injuries, menstrual problems, and emotional problems. If your adolescent is now in college, we will continue to provide their medical care until they are 22 years old. Students may call us directly from college if they need medication refills or have questions about their health while they are away from home.
Care for children and adolescents with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder. We partner with child psychologists who are well trusted by us to do both testing (academic and I.Q) and counseling. We prescribe medications as needed and monitor patients regularly to optimize their mental health and well-being at home, school and in other social settings.
Care for children and adolescents with asthma and related respiratory diseases. Spirometry testing and allergy testing are done at the clinic, and Asthma Action Plans and coordination of care with your child’s school or daycare are done at each visit. We also supply nebulization machines through our partner, the Neb Doctors, who provides excellent service for these valuable devices.
Primary care for children born with heart defects. Care is coordinated with the child’s cardiologist. Dr. Gobel’s subspecialty training in Cardiology makes her uniquely qualified to care for these children.
If you are the parent of a newborn boy (or an expectant parent), you may be considering circumcision for your son. Our doctors perform circumcisions at the hospitals where we see newborns (United Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospitals in St. Paul, and Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury). However, some insurance companies (HealthPartners being one) will only pay for circumcisions done in an outpatient clinic. Likewise, some hospitals are not allowing circumcisions to be performed in their facilities (for reasons known only to them). We offer an excellent service at a very reasonable rate. Please call the clinic to inquire about the procedure, and our doctors will be happy to answer your questions.
